And man has John Calipari proven that he can bring in the big boys.When Kentucky fired Billy Gillispie after two years and then threw the biggest contract in college basketball history at John Calipari, THIS is what they were hoping for:The nation’s top prospect, John Wall from Raleigh, has committed to Kentucky. The same Kentucky that had already lined up the nation’s #1 ranked recruiting class BEFORE Wall.

What are they now? 1A?

There was much joking about Worldwide Wes and recruiting smoke that seemed to follow Calipari around back in April. But no one around the SEC is laughing now.

Kentucky basketball is back. At least in terms of star power and media coverage.

And with a recruiting class like this one, it probably won’t be too long before UK is back at the top of the conference standings, either.
